Situation at CSG Before Implementation
The merger of TIBCO and Citrix formed Cloud Software Group (CSG) and better-enabled them to deliver critical software solutions through public, private, managed, and sovereign clouds. However the merger raised significant challenges in the financial close processes across both entities, where disparate systems inhibited progress. As per the CEO driven strategic mandate CSG sought a centralized cloud based EPM Budgeting and Forecasting solution and a reliable partner to help them leverage modern practices in the cloud. In addition to improving business efficiencies, CSG sought to:
- Combine disparate data sources into a single source of truth on a single cloud platform
- Decrease Global Monthly Close durations
- Implement new chart of accounts and adopt Oracle for finance
- Automate onboarding & offboarding details to eliminate time consuming process
- Eliminate manual operations to gather, manage, validate, enter and report on data
- Replace outdated systems for 70 budget users
- Diversify data ownership to create redundancies and reduce reliance on individuals for issue resolution
