Situation at OVP Before Salesforce Implementation

Founded in 2022, the City of St. Louis Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) coordinates public safety resources and community violence intervention programs to make St. Louis neighborhoods safer. OVP lacked the technology infrastructure to effectively manage its partner and provider networks and was managing grant funding and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) with cumbersome spreadsheets and emails.

OVP needed a streamlined solution to eliminate manual processes, centralize data, and more effectively manage grants and RFPs. Specifically, the client set the following objectives for this engagement:

  • Eliminate time-consuming, manual processes
  • Eliminate paper-based systems
  • Automate grants management
  • Automate RFP management
  • Improve partner relationship management
