Josephine A. and Parind V. are now Oracle Applications Cloud User Experience 2016 Implementation Specialists, and Josephine A. and Krishna K. are Cloud Data 2016 Implementation Specialists. Krishna K. and Parind V. also completed their Oracle Applications Cloud Reporting 2016 Implementation Specialist exams.  Parind is also now an Oracle Fusion Financials 2014 PreSales Specialist, and JP G. is an Oracle GoldenGate 12c Sales Specialist.
Scott H. is an Oracle RightNow Cloud Service 2016 Technical Certification Implementation Specialist, and Fatima G. also completed her Oracle Financials Cloud: Receivables 2016 Certified Implementation Specialist Certification.

Public Sector organizations like cities and counties are increasingly driven to improve operational efficiency, provide transparency, and integrate processes across operational and jurisdictional boundaries, all while maintaining control over costs. To meet these challenges, Public Sector agencies across the country have deployed enterprise back-office software applications to replace aging legacy systems and adopt modern business practices.
Specifically, Cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings have captured significant attention as both a business and computing model that enables Public Sector organizations to achieve their objectives.
AST and Oracle have done this for the City of Detroit, MI, on the heels of the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history.
John Hill, CFO of Detroit, told attendees at Oracle’s Modern Finance Experience conference in April how Oracle Cloud ERP helped him to reform the City’s finances to pull Detroit out of its crisis.  Hill explains his approach to the emergency and shares advice for other organizations going through similar challenges.

Sometimes it can be difficult to get activity in during the workday.  We often get wrapped up in tasks and forget to step away from our desks, walk around, and visit with our co-workers – even during the lunch hour!
We’re solving the glued-to-your-desk problem this Friday by encouraging our teams to get moving during lunch!  Each practice in our home office will host a different course of the potluck – appetizers, drinks, main dishes, desserts, etc.  Each course/practice will be set up in their respective wing of the office, which means, if you want cheesecake or 7-layer salad, you have to get moving!
Each practice is keeping its offerings under wraps and seems to be “secretly” competing for best station, so Friday’s lunch will be both delicious and interesting!

AST and Serene, as well as fellow sales leaders from around the globe, are gathered this week at Oracle’s Modern Sales Experience conference in Las Vegas.  The conference, which runs from April 26 through Thursday, April 28, offers hands-on workshops, product demonstrations, and exclusive networking opportunities all showcasing best practices to help your sales force sell more and grow your business!
On Tuesday night, AST-Serene hosted a customer appreciation event at Omnia Nightclub – Caesars Palace.  Thank you to those who joined us for a fun evening of networking and entertainment!

Furthermore, Tejas’ internal efforts in speaking with AST candidates and helping to lead the charge on AST’s Cloud EPM and other internal projects, is commendable.  He maintains strong relationships with each client, as well as his team members; they all appreciate his consistent helping hand, mentoring, and contributions.
