ncoaug-astYesterday’s NCOAUG Training Day in Oakbrook Terrace, IL was a great success for AST!  With 6 presentations, we were able to connect with industry colleagues on many topics such as Hyperion Planning, OBIEE 11g, and the fundamentals and importance of cloud solutions.

With a strong presence by our sales team, consultants, administrative and marketing teams, AST was able to effectively network to create significant and lasting business relationships.

Ongoing training and education is a priority at AST.  We would like to recognize the following individuals on the completion or renewal of their specialization certificates.  We appreciate how hard you all have worked to expand your knowledge and expertise in your field!
AST has four new Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service Specialists:  Carlos M., Nick D., Steven D., and Sreeram G.  Additionally, Gwen M. was busy earning two specializations:  Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g PreSales Specialist and Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g Sales Specialist.  Shyam K. renewed his PMP, while Satish A. established his.  We also have Mohamed S., who is now an Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate, and Ankur P., who is now an Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Certified Implementation Specialist.

AST is excited to announce Diversity Week at our Naperville office.  Everyone will have the opportunity to share information, photos and food from our heritage and celebrate the things that make us different. Activities include family tree research, photo collages of special events, tacking your birth city on a map and a fun internet scavenger hunt.  Of course, the week will conclude with a festive potluck meal. Spoiler Alert: Pickled Herring will be on the menu!

Oracle and Forbes surveyed 415 customer service executives from various organizations spanning 10 different industries to find that 62% failed to grasp the understanding and importance of including customer service into their organization-wide strategic goals. The study showed that the lack of understanding about this importance is due to limited definitions of customer service, poor knowledge management and customer visibility, and a reliance on traditional channels and metrics. Although the understanding is not completely there, companies do find that investing in customer service technology has facilitated greater outcomes for their organizations.
